On February 4, 2026, the College of Business at National Taipei University (NTPU) and G-Jie Medical Technology Co., Ltd. officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for industry-academic cooperation. This partnership aims to integrate business research expertise with AI medical imaging technology, focusing on innovation, value-based healthcare, insurance, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) sustainability. Together, both parties will promote a cross-disciplinary collaboration model characterized by quantifiable benefits and long-term impact.

Dean Chi-Rui Huang of the NTPU College of Business stated that this collaboration symbolizes a deep connection between academia and industry. It directly addresses critical challenges facing current insurance and healthcare systems—including medical inflation, information asymmetry, claims disputes, and the need for sustainable governance—establishing a vital benchmark for the development of smart healthcare and sustainable finance in Taiwan.

Dean Huang pointed out that the NTPU College of Business has long specialized in fields such as sustainable finance, ESG assessment, risk management, and business model innovation, emphasizing institutional designs that balance efficiency, fairness, and long-term stability. Meanwhile, G-Jie Medical Technology centers its expertise on AI 3D medical imaging, successfully transforming complex CT and MRI scans into intuitive, actionable, and quantifiable 3D models widely used in clinical settings, medical communication, and insurance scenarios.

Ji-Xin Sun, Chairman of G-Jie Medical Technology, noted that the company’s AI 3D medical imaging technology is one of the fastest-growing applications in the current AI healthcare sector. It assists hospitals in comprehensively improving precision diagnosis, preoperative planning, and doctor-patient communication efficiency. Through this industry-academic partnership, G-Jie aims to accelerate the deployment of its business models in Taiwan, ultimately benefiting patients, hospitals, and the financial insurance industry alike.

Dean Huang added that this collaboration combines business decision-making and institutional analysis with the practical implementation of medical technology. The goal is to explore the substantive value of AI within financial and medical systems and seek mutually beneficial possibilities for AI 3D technology providers, insured patients, hospitals, and the insurance sector.

Looking ahead, both parties will continue to promote scalable, practical collaboration models through research projects, empirical evidence, data analysis, and industrial pilots. The objective is not only to produce academic achievements but also to establish an industry paradigm capable of long-term operation, laying a solid foundation for Taiwan’s international competitiveness in sustainable finance and smart healthcare.
