NTPU Hosts Campus Watch Party for NVIDIA CEO’s COMPUTEX 2025 Keynote—Exploring the Future of AI
On May 19, 2025, National Taipei University hosted a campus Watch Party for NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang’s keynote speech at COMPUTEX 2025, held at the College of Business International Conference Hall. Co-organized by the Department of Public Administration and the Department of Business Administration, the event drew over 400 participants, with all seats filled shortly after registration opened, reflecting the campus community’s keen interest in AI and future technologies.
Professor Chih-Mei Lo, Director of Public Administration, emphasized that AI is a key driver of industrial innovation and that such events help students expand global perspectives and career readiness.
In addition to the keynote livestream, the event featured a special appearance by NTPU alumnus Alex Chu, Senior Associate Director at NVIDIA Taiwan. Mr. Chu, a double major in Public Administration and Business, shared insights from his professional journey and earlier EMBA lecture, “Further with AI, Faster on RTX,” which had received strong praise from faculty and students alike.
President Cheng-Chia Lee also attended and spoke on the university’s commitment to AI innovation. He highlighted the implementation of an AI Course Incentive Program, designed to encourage curriculum development and strengthen teaching resources—part of the university’s broader vision of becoming an AI-driven, innovative institution.
NTPU continues to uphold its mission of fostering interdisciplinary, practice-based education. Through global events like this Watch Party, students not only engage with the latest technological advancements but are also encouraged to consider the ethical and societal dimensions of AI—demonstrating NTPU’s integration of cutting-edge education with social responsibility.
